Throne of Glass Original-Cover Illustrated Hardcover 1st/1st | Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Bloomsbury U.S. hardcover, first U.S. edition, first printing, with the illustrated dust jacket without a top “best-selling series” promotional banner.

• First U.S. publication: August 2012
• ISBN: 9781599906959
• Complete number line: 2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3 1

Condition: Near Fine overall, with a small scratch at the dust jacket's front/spine fold, shown in the close-up photographs. It’s an unusually clean copy and would be a fantastic centerpiece in any Sarah J. Maas fan’s collection.

Further Info: There appears to be some confusion regarding what is and isn't a true first edition of Throne of Glass, which is understandable when you look at how many variations of the jacket there are.

Many are under the impression that the highly collectible "Barbie Cover" was the first edition and that this jacket style followed. I have both versions and the copyright pages are completely identical. The two versions even share the same ISBN. Both are legitimately 1st/1st. It's also worth noting that most jackets of this style have either a "Bestselling Author" or "Bestselling Series" banner across the top. Those are absent here, since this was SJM's first book and she hadn't yet achieved those designations.
