Order processing
In-stock items are prepared and packed with care within 3–5 business days. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.
Shipping area, rates and tracking
At launch, Six Impossible Things ships to addresses within the United States only. Available shipping services and prices are shown at checkout. When tracking is available, it will be sent to the email address used for the order. Carrier scans and delivery estimates can occasionally be delayed.
Free local pickup in Andover, Kansas
Free local pickup is available by appointment at the Andover Police Department Exchange Zone, 909 N. Andover Road, Andover, KS 67002. Meet us in the designated exchange parking spaces. This is a meetup point, not a staffed shop or a place to collect books from police personnel. Customers from Wichita and surrounding areas are welcome if they can travel to Andover.
Choose Pick up at checkout and pay online. Email hello@siximpossiblethingsbooks.com with your order number to arrange a time. Please wait for a confirmed appointment before travelling. Please allow at least 3 days before your pickup appointment. Pickup readiness estimates are not appointment times. Appointments are arranged once the books are ready; preorder items must first arrive and pass inspection.
Rescheduling with a few hours' advance notice is welcome. If you miss a confirmed appointment without notifying us, another meetup is not guaranteed, and we may require you to pay postage to have your order shipped instead.
Preorders and mixed orders
A product is identified as a preorder on its listing. Release and arrival dates are estimates and may change because of publishers, manufacturers, distributors, customs or carriers. We will update affected customers when a material delay becomes known.
Orders may contain both in-stock and preorder items. In-stock items will be prepared within our normal processing time and shipped first. Preorder items will remain unfulfilled until they arrive and have been inspected, then will ship separately under the same order.
If an order contains multiple preorder items with different estimated arrival dates, the preorder items will ship together after every preorder item in that order has arrived and passed inspection. If you do not want an earlier preorder held until the latest preorder arrives, please place the items in separate orders. Each separate order will be charged shipping based on its contents and will ship independently.
Preorder cancellation requests may be submitted within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, cancellation cannot be guaranteed because quantities may already be committed to a publisher, distributor or edition supplier. If a preorder is materially delayed, we will provide the option to accept the delay or cancel the affected item for a full refund.
Address changes and returned packages
Email hello@siximpossiblethingsbooks.com as soon as possible if an address needs to be corrected. Changes cannot be guaranteed after fulfillment has begun or a shipping label has been created. If a package is returned because the address supplied with the order was incomplete or incorrect, additional postage may be required before it can be sent again.
Delayed, lost or marked-delivered packages
If tracking is marked delivered but the package cannot be found, please check with household members and nearby neighbors and allow 48 hours for a delayed carrier scan. If tracking has shown no movement for 7 calendar days, contact us with your order number. We will help investigate and, when appropriate, open a carrier inquiry or claim. Any replacement or refund will be determined after the available tracking information and carrier response have been reviewed.
