Overview

This website is operated by Six Impossible Things. Throughout the site, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Six Impossible Things. By visiting the site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Online store terms

You may use the store only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not interfere with the operation or security of the site, attempt unauthorized access, transmit malicious code, scrape the site in a manner that disrupts service or use the site to violate another person’s rights.

Products and collectible editions

We make reasonable efforts to describe products, edition details, signatures, condition and included materials accurately. Colors and fine details may appear differently on different screens. Special-edition books can have normal manufacturing variations. Known material condition issues associated with a specific copy will be disclosed when identified.

Product photographs, descriptions and availability may be updated as additional information or incoming inventory is inspected. If a material listing error affects an order, we may contact you to offer correction, substitution where appropriate or cancellation and refund.

Prices, payments and taxes

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise and may change before an order is placed. Applicable shipping charges and taxes are displayed during checkout. Payment must be authorized before an order is accepted for fulfillment.

Orders

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. We may decline or cancel an order before fulfillment because of inventory errors, pricing or listing errors, payment problems, suspected fraud, quantity limitations or other legitimate operational reasons. If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, the affected amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

Shipping and preorders

Processing times, shipping practices, preorder estimates and delivery-problem procedures are described in our Shipping & Preorders page and Shipping Policy. Release dates and supplier arrival dates are estimates and can change for reasons outside our control.

Returns, refunds and Blind Dates

Returns, damage claims and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and Returns, Damage & Order Issues page. Blind Date With a Book purchases are also subject to the Blind Date FAQ, including the one-time courtesy duplicate-title exchange.

Intellectual property

The store’s original branding, written copy, graphics, photographs and site presentation are owned by or licensed to Six Impossible Things and may not be copied, republished or commercially exploited without permission. Book titles, cover art, publisher marks and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Third-party services and links

The store is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party payment, shipping, analytics and social services. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not make us responsible for their content or operation.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and services are provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated or required by law. Six Impossible Things is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the site or products. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Six Impossible Things harmless from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the site, violation of these terms or infringement of another person’s rights.

Severability and waiver

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on the site. Changes apply prospectively from the stated update date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas and applicable United States federal law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence.
