What is a Blind Date With a Book?
You choose from the clues on the listing—such as genre, mood, tropes, themes, or special-edition details—while the book’s identity remains a surprise until it is opened.
What comes with my date?
Each product page explains the format of that specific date. Some dates feature a single book, while premium dates may include a special edition, signed edition, coordinated set, or multi-book experience. The listing is the final word on what is included.
Will I know the book’s condition?
Yes. Books are inspected before packing, and any known condition issue that materially affects a specific copy will be disclosed in its listing.
What if I already own or have read the selected title?
We want your Blind Date to be a happy surprise. If you discover that you already own or have read the selected title, contact us within 7 days of delivery.
We offer one courtesy duplicate-title exchange per customer, subject to available inventory. The book and all included materials must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Opening the Blind Date wrapping to discover the title does not disqualify the book.
You may choose an available Blind Date selection with the same listed price as your original purchase. Local customers may arrange an in-person exchange by appointment at the Andover Police Exchange Zone, 909 N. Andover Road, Andover, Kansas. See our local pickup instructions. For shipped orders, the customer is responsible for tracked return postage, and Six Impossible Things will cover standard shipping for the replacement. The replacement will be sent after the original selection is received and inspected.
This courtesy exchange is not a refund, does not apply simply because a book was not to the reader’s taste, and cannot be used again for the replacement selection. Damage, incorrect items, and other fulfillment errors are handled separately and do not count toward the courtesy-exchange limit.
Can Blind Date books otherwise be returned?
Blind Date purchases are otherwise final sale because the identity of the book is intentionally concealed. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, the wrong item is sent, or another fulfillment error occurs. Can I request a particular title?
The surprise is part of the experience, so a particular title is not guaranteed. If a listing offers selectable preferences, only the options shown on that product page are available.
